I dunno if you guys read Slashdot. But this particular snowclone gets used almost EVERY time in the comments, every time it can be.
For example, an article about “robots powered by organic digestion” will of course have a comment “I, for one, welcome our new robot overlords.” This has actually gotten so overused on that one site that it is now vilified.
I hope I’m not being Captain Obvious. (is THAT a snowclone? Captain ” ___ ” meaning a joke superhero relating to ___ … ? If it is not one in general, it is one in MY personal lexicon 😀 )
